Think Again Malaysians, Think!

Think! Why would Tun Mahathir, the man who devoted his life to make UMNO what it is today, who is in his 90s and is the longest-serving PM of Malaysia, want to launch the Citizen’s Declaration with opposition and civil society leaders demanding Najib’s removal and implement institutional reforms?

Think! Why would Najib need to remove those in his own government like ex-DPM Muhyiddin, Shafie Aqdal, Mukhriz, Khairuddin, Amina, etc, who questioned him about the 1MDB scandal and RM2.6 billion in his personal bank account?

Think! Why would he need to replace Attorney-General Gani Patail and transferred out those investigating the scandal, like those in MACC (anti-corruption) and PAC (Public Account Committee), if he has nothing to hide?

Think! If the allegations made by The Wall Street Journal and The Sarawak Report are false, why hasn’t Najib sued them to clear his good name? Why block the websites of Sarawak Report and The Malaysian Insider? Is it because he knew that they are telling the truth and by suing them more details of the scandal will be revealed?

Think! If the RM2.6 billion were really a personal “donation” from the Saudi royal family and subsequently USD620 million were “returned”, why didn’t Najib immediately declare it when it was first exposed in July 2015? Instead he first denied it, then he said it was “not for personal gain”, then it was to fight ISIS, then it was to win GE13, then the Saudi foreign minister said it was an investment. So, which is the truth?

Think! The amount uncovered so far, RM2.6 billion is just what was uncovered and just 1MDB. What about the remaining amount of the RM42 billion minus cost (not value) of assets bought and the uncovered amount? Was it not Mahathir that estimated something like RM27 billion unaccounted for? Where is the balance?

Think! Why did Najib have to sell 1MDB’s power assets to China General Nuclear Power Corp for almost RM10 billion, by waiving the 49% restriction on foreign ownership of key sectors? This was done at a loss of almost RM1 billion. Now much of our power producing capacity are foreign-owned. Why?

Think! To reduce 1MDB’s debt, Najib sold off 60% of Bandar Malaysia for RM5.3 billion to a consortium consisting of Iskandar Waterfront Holdings (IWH) and China Railway Engineering Corporation (CREC) but tried to hoodwink the public that it was for RM7.4 billion, based on land sale valuation. In other words, it was worth RM7.4 billion but they got paid RM5.3 billion. What a deal…for another China-linked company.

By the way, the 486-acre prime land was the former Sungai Besi Air Force base which 1MDB bought from the government at an unbelievable bargain price of RM1.6 billion in 2012, now valued at RM12.4 billion in 2015. It was public property, then it was 1MDB’s property, now it is majority-owned by private and foreign businesses!

Think! Why has our Ringgit fallen like it has? Do you think international investors and traders are fools? They can’t tell who is telling the truth and who is trying to cover up? When our Ringgit goes down, our cost of living goes up because we still have to import most of our food stuff.

Think! Why do you think our Government need GST in order not to go bankrupt? A nation blessed with oil, natural resources and industrious people, going bankrupt after 52 years of nationhood? We must have the most incompetent Government in the world! And guess who put them there?

Come on Malaysians, think for once and do the right thing. Spread the truth, don’t be afraid. There are more of us who are fed up with this government than those who for reasons best known to themselves, still believe in billion dollars “donations” and that this is the most efficient and clean government in the world. Think!
